Alvaro has close to three decades of experience in financial markets.

He joined Deutsche Bank Spain in 2008 as CIO and Head of Discretionary mandates.

Since then he has developed several Senior positions in the firm. In 2011 he relocated to Geneva where he designed and developed the EMEA DPM desk. In 2013 he moved to the Latam desk and developed the Investment Advisory capabilities for the firm with responsibilities in Germany, Switzerland and NY/MIA. 

In 2017 he returned to his roots in Portfolio Management and took responsibility for the Europe ex-Germany Region expanding the offering and taking care of all segments, Wealth, Private Bank and Retail clients. He has been a Board Member and Chairman of the Board for DB WM SGIIC (2019-2024).

He started his career as a Institutional buy side analyst Banque Indosuez. In 200 he joined the Asset Management arm of Bankinter (Spain) as CIO and developed the Discretionary Management desk for the firm. His first International experience came when he joined Barclays in Madrid and he became Investments and product head for the Spanish operation

Alvaro is currently Executive Board Member at Acacia Inversion and he is founding partner at Conopeum Real Estate.
