Bill joined KingsRock in 2024 as a Managing Director covering financial institutions and structured finance. He brings over thirty years of experience with functional roles in business development, risk management, credit analysis, and trading. His sector experience includes financials, transportation, power and energy, and real estate.

Prior to joining KingsRock, Bill worked as an independent advisor, consulting large asset managers in the sub regional and community bank bond market. Preceding this practice, Bill was a Managing Director at Commerce Street Capital and was responsible for heading the firm’s structured finance business. He specialized in community bank bonds and raised capital for the firm’s clients. He was a voting member of the firm’s investment committee.

Before working at Commerce Street, Bill spent five years at TPG Special Situations Partners, now known as Sixth Street Partners. There, he initiated the firm’s coverage of commercial banks in the U.S. with the purpose of sourcing and underwriting transactions.

Prior to TPG, Bill worked for twelve years at Citigroup in various roles. He graduated from the bank’s Associate credit training program and worked in corporate finance and risk management. During the Great Financial Crisis, he worked as Portfolio Manager in the Special Asset Pool within Citi Holdings, Citi’s non-core bank. He liaised with the bank’s senior management and the Federal Reserve, U.S. Department of Treasury, and the FDIC pursuant to the bank’s loss sharing agreement. He also worked in the bank’s workout group as the group’s trader where he was responsible for disposing of a $14BN notional portfolio of corporate credit and real estate loans.

Before attending graduate school, Bill worked in the Equity Finance group at State Street Boston and later Lehman Brothers, facilitating short sales of both bonds and equities.

Bill is a graduate of Colby College where he earned degrees in both Classics and Philosophy. He graduated with an MA in International Finance and Banking from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. He holds the Series 7 and 66 licenses and the Financial Risk Manager designation from the Global Association Risk Professionals.

Bill resides in Manhattan with his wife and daughter. He served as the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for La Scuola d’Italia Guglielmo, a private school in Manhattan, from 2019-2022.
