David A. Barcus is a Managing Director at KingsRock.

Mr. Barcus has 30 years of project finance, leveraged finance and high yield experience. 

Mr. Barcus spent 17 years at BNP Paribas and was involved in all facets of BNP Paribas’ Merchant Banking, Leveraged Finance, Project Finance and High Yield Groups, with his last position being as Global Head of High Yield Syndicate. 

Mr. Barcus established the high yield business for BNP Paribas in North America and Asia, and had direct responsibility for clients in the energy and hospitality industries.  Mr. Barcus also sat on BNP Paribas’ North American Leveraged Finance Screening Committee, which was responsible for vetting all leveraged transactions. 

He also served as Head of Debt Capital Markets for Knight Capital, and in that capacity established Knight’s primary origination business.  Mr. Barcus has also served as the Head of High Yield for BBVA and for Raymond James, establishing businesses for each of those firms and completing financings in the energy, power, hospitality and transportation industries.  Mr. Barcus began his career at Bear, Stearns & Co.

Mr. Barcus holds a BS in Engineering Science with a concentration in Chemical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and holds an MBA in Finance from The Stern School at NYU.  He holds Series, 7, 24, 63 and 79 securities licenses and has completed the New York Institute of Finance’s Risk Management coursework.
