Sumit is a Partner, KingsRock Advisors, based in London.

Sumit is an accomplished structured finance professional, with over 20 years of experience in developed and in emerging markets at Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and UBS. He has held leadership roles over the years managing teams across locations responsible for origination, underwriting, execution, risk management and syndication.
His extensive transaction experience spans

  • Infrastructure & project finance – energy, transportation, utilities & telecom sectors

  • Special situations and bespoke financing for corporates & projects such as event driven bridges, fund level & portfolio financing, whole business securitization, trade receivables financing, working capital solutions

  • DFI and ECA backed financing solutions, in particular in innovations allowing institutional investors to participate and compete with commercial banks

  • Sovereign and sovereign-linked financing, an integral part of infrastructure financing in emerging markets

  • Hard assets and financial assets e.g. leasing, receivables, trade finance

He was most recently Managing Director, Structured Finance at Goldman Sachs where he was responsible within the Investment Banking Division for origination & execution of structured debt opportunities across Central Eastern Europe, Middle East, Turkey and Africa ("CEEMEA"). He focused on bespoke underwritten solutions for infrastructure, sovereign and corporate clients.

Prior to this role, Sumit was at Deutsche Bank for a total of 14 years, managing DB’s Structured Credit Trading desk for CEEMEA from 2014-2018 and at UBS co-running the European Special Situations Group from 2010-14.

Sumit began his career at Deutsche Bank in London and spent his initial years in DB’s European Securitisation & Special Situations Group.

Sumit has an MBA from IIM Calcutta and a BA (Hons) Economics from St Stephen’s College, Delhi University.
